Leo J. Maloney is a retired Deep Cover Black Operative, acclaimed thriller novelist, and now a recording artist embarking on an exciting new creative journey. With over three decades of experience in undercover operations, Leo served his country in highly secretive missions across some of the world’s most dangerous hotspots — experiences that became the authentic backbone of his fiction writing.

Leo is the author of the Dan Morgan thriller series, wildly praised for its gripping realism, pulse-pounding action, and insider perspective on covert intelligence work. His novels include Termination Orders, Silent Assassin, Black Skies, Twelve Hours, Arch Enemy, Rogue Commander, Dark Territory, Threat Level Alpha, Balast Wave, For Duty and Honor, Hard Target, Angle of Attack, Storm Front and Enemy Attack — each delivering high stakes, international intrigue, and complex characters.

Leo was born and raised in Massachusetts. After retiring as a deep-cover black operative he had the opportunity to act in several independent films. 

Leo also worked behind the camera as a producer technical, adviser and assistent director on several films

 Now based in Florida, Leo is using his passion a storyteller to enter world of music. After many years of writing songs but not telling anyone what he was doing, he recently decided to go to a recording studio to bring his original compositions to life — merging his narrative with a new artistic voice.
